Unfortunately, we've been told that they will be taking the 2 snow days out of our spring break.  Therefore, we're off on Good Friday and then we have to come back Thurs. and Fri. of the following week.  This makes no sense, especially because tons of students will be away on vacatinos that they planned far in advance.  Not to mention that this wipes out any plans the teachers made for those days.

They say that they're doing it to keep from moving graduation, but for many seniors like myself this loss of part of our spring break is more annoying than if graduation was moved.  Graduation would orininally have been on a Thursday.  We thought (teachers included) that they were going to take a day away from Presidents' Day Weekend and add the other onto the end of the year, making graduation on a Friday instead.  All in all we were fine with that set up, as that's the way it's happened the last few years.

Now we get this slap in the face about spring break being cut short.  It makes no sense for us to be off for a bunch of days, come back for two, and then have the weekend.  I can say with quite a bit of certainty that two oddly positioned days of school like that, coupled with what is more than likely going to be a serious lack of attendance due to vacation, is going to be nothing but unproductive.

::sighs::  Sometimes I just don't understand why the school board makes decisions like these.  Oh well. </rant>
